Live-in Care enables anyone with care needs to continue living in their own home with an around the-clock live in care worker. We work hard to ensure that all of our directly employed care staff are supported and rewarded in their roles.

Live in Care provides a model of care that is highly valued by Service Users, as it enables them to have more independence, flexibility and control over the care they require on a daily basis. Live in care involves a programme of personal care and household management that is personalised for each service user in the form of a Care Plan.

  • Previous experience in within the care sector.
  • Caring nature
  • ReliableTrustworthy
  • NVQ/Diploma 2-3 Health & Social Care
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
  • Excellent communication, verbal and written English
  • All applicants will be required to complete an enhanced DBS.
  • Be able to live in a service users home offering around the clock care

 

 

The role of a Live-in Carer with Independent People Homecare

Live-in Carers are employed to work with the Service Users and support them to be able to remain in their own home. Live in Care provides a model of care that is highly valued by Service Users, as it enables them to have more independence, flexibility and control over the care they require on a daily basis. Live in care involves a programme of personal care and household management that is personalised for each service user in the form of a Care Plan.

All Service Users are individuals who will have received a person-centred holistic assessment of their needs which forms the basis of their care plans. The role of the Live in Carer is to meet their Service Users needs, and to ensure they are supported as detailed in their care plan ensuring at all times that their privacy, dignity and independence is maintained. This will include not only assisting with the Service Users personal care needs, but also their social welfare. The role may include shopping, cooking and will include light housekeeping duties.

Live in Care packages will vary from providing companionship care through to providing palliative end of life care and Live in Carer pay rates will vary accordingly. Live in Carers must work as directed by the Live in Care Manager and detailed in the individual care plan.

The aim of 24 hour live-in care is to enable Service Users to be able to remain in their homes with as much independence as possible, carrying out the tasks in a professional, discreet and caring manner whilst respecting the Service Users dignity, privacy, property and confidentiality.
